You will primarily be responsible for processing payroll, commissions and handling all aspects of corporate taxation. You will maintain proper internal controls over payroll, employee master data and be responsible for the accuracy of payroll processing and posting to the general ledger. You will manage the company?s quarterly and monthly tax filings to ensure compliance and accuracy. You will also provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the accounting team, especially with respect to monthly, quarterly and annual close. Responsibilities: Coordinate with HR regarding all payroll documentation to ensure accuracy in our HR platform to be pushed to our payroll platform Maintain the payroll processing portal, Trax ? New hires, terminations, benefit enrollments/changes (401K, Roth, healthcare, dental, transitchek), maternity/disability leave, misc. deductions, misc. reimbursements, employee purchase deductions, salary changes, department changes, position changes, address changes, direct deposit information changes Ensure proper internal control over the employee master data files within payroll system; work with Controller and HR Director to develop processes and communication flows to ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll data Prepare and process payroll on weekly basis; this includes processing salary and hourly company employee payroll, owner payroll and 1099 pay Maintain legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting and implementing new or revised laws to uphold pay compliance Register the company and coordinate with our payroll provider to file state and local taxes as need be Ensure proper oversight of payroll taxes Collect, review and process 1099/educator invoices Collect, review and process hourly employee timesheets Process Voya 401K and Roth employee contributions and employer matching Calculate and pay monthly and quarterly commissions for employees Calculate and generate invoices for monthly contractor commissions Process and issue annual W-2 and 1099 forms to employees and contractors Answer questions from employees related to payroll and commissions topics Create and post proper journal entries related to payroll runs, including calculating and posting a month-end payroll and commissions accrual Code and record employee credit card expenses Assist with the implementation of Concur for employee T&E and maintain T&E through Concur once implementation is complete Assist Controller and accounting team with ad hoc projects, as required So why should you work with us?
