Overview
The Communications Coordinator will help Vice President, Communications and Director, Communications to execute the implementation of internal and corporate communications initiatives.
Responsibilities
Helps to drive all key aspects of communication channels and messaging to educate, engage and empower employees.
Writes and implements internal communications announcements.
Manages information flow and consistency of message to employees.
Manages internal corporate style and Atlas branding.
Collaborates with business owners across the business
Leverages, optimizes and creates new and existing communication platforms, including social media where appropriate, to ensure engagement messages are delivered to audience in most relevant, accessible and engaging way. This will include regular updates to Intranet, office signage, and TV monitors
Supports execution of executive-led videos and meetings, e.g. Employee Exchange, and employee engagement events
Works with \"communication liasons\" in facilities across the U.S. to coordinate communications activities
Creates content calendar to ensure cohesive regular messaging and information flow across channels
Reactive media relations management which includes providing follow-up statements, materials/assets to reporters upon request.
Supports corporate social responsibility initiatives and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
2 to 3 years of solid communications experience in a company or at agency with consumer goods clients.
Strong knowledge media relations.
Professional experience executing across social media platforms that reach employees and/or prospective employees (ie, LinkedIn) a plus.
Agency background not required, but a plus.
Wordpress knowledge a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
